Privacy Policy

Last updated July 17, 2026

OpenWall (“OpenWall,” “we,” “us”) runs an open marketplace for physical advertising space. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Information we collect

Account details you provide (name, email, and password, if you create one). If you choose provider sign-in, we receive your name, email, and stable provider account identifier; we do not retain provider access or refresh tokens. We also collect the spaces, bids, creatives, subscriptions, and messages you submit, geo-stamped proof photos for live placements, and basic usage data. When someone scans a placement's QR or tracked link, we record the placement, interaction time, referring page when available, and an unguessable click identifier. When an advertiser reports a resulting conversion, we store a reference identifier and the outcome value. Card and bank details are handled by our regulated payment provider; OpenWall stores provider tokens and limited descriptors such as card brand and last four digits, never full card or bank numbers.

How we use it

To operate the marketplace: run auctions and pay-by-QR plans, process payments and payouts, verify that placements are live, measure placement interactions and advertiser-reported outcomes, provide support, and send transactional notices about your account and activity.

How we share it

With the other party to a transaction (a vendor and the brand they transact with see what's needed to complete it), with the authentication provider you choose for sign-in, with our payment and infrastructure providers, with our email provider for account and transactional messages, and when required by law. We do not sell your personal information.

Cookies and local storage

We use essential cookies to keep you signed in and secure your session. When configured, we use first-party product analytics to understand how OpenWall is used. The OpenWall conversion script stores a placement click identifier in the advertiser site's local storage for up to 30 days, removes tracking parameters from the visible URL after capture, and deletes the identifier after it reports a conversion. We do not use this information to build third-party advertising profiles.

Data retention & security

We keep your information while your account is active. When you delete your account, we anonymize your personal details after a 30-day grace period, but retain billing, payout, and dispute records as needed to meet legal, accounting, and fraud-prevention obligations. We use reasonable safeguards to protect your data. No system is perfectly secure.

Your rights

You can access and correct your information at any time. You can delete your account from Settings — this starts a 30-day grace period during which you can cancel by signing back in. Deletion is unavailable while you have open obligations (funds owed or held, running placements, or open disputes), so accounts can't be used to walk away from a deal. For anything else, email [email protected].

Children

OpenWall is for users 18 and older and is not directed to children.

Changes

We may update this policy as the product evolves; we'll revise the date above and, for material changes, give notice in-app.
